Barn-Equipment

Thumbnail
The New England Barn met the needs of the general family farm. Horses, a herd of milk cows, and some feed cattle, made the barn the center of activity. This is a model of the barn that, in the 1930s, was renovated to become the happy childhood home of Chip Fyn. This beautiful house, once featured in Better Homes & Gardens, stands proudly off the Village Green in Monroe, Ct

Barn-Livestock

Thumbnail
The livestock barn is still seen on most farms. Upstairs, the loft was used for winter hay storage and with access doors at each end, went far to keep the downstairs cool in the summer. The cupola up on the roof always kept the air fresh and circulating. As you travel along the highways in the east, look hard and you'll still see old and peeling 'Mail Pouch' advertisements on some lucky barns. This one has an off-shoot for the small heard of milking cows. The main area is for equipment.

Captain's House

Thumbnail
The sea mist rolls in across the town in the early morning hours like a soft gentle tsunami in slow motion. The residents are beginning to stir and awake to begin a new day. At the end of the road closest to the dock sits the old Captains House. In the middle of the roof and accessible from the attic, is the 'Widows' Walk where the captain's wife keeps a vigil for her returning husband.

The entire connected farm set on a layout is being offered as one complete model in Z, N, and HO scales as are all FG models.
